Refunds and Exchanges

REFUND POLICY

We want you to be totally satisfied with our products and services.

If you find you are unhappy with any product or service you receive, please call or Customer Care Team on 07 3713 9345 or email us at claims@haigh.com.au so that we may work to resolve your concern as quickly as possible.

Request a Return:

You have up to 30 days to request a return. Items must be returned in original, saleable, undamaged condition, in the original packaging, at own cost.

Exclusions: In some cases, a refund, replacement, or repair may not be offered if:

  • The product has been modified or altered in any way.
  • Misused the product, contrary to user instructions or packaging labels.
  • Damage to the product is found, upon inspection by us or on our behalf, to be caused by wear and tear, abuse, misuse, accidental impact/s with a harder object (such as metal automotive component).
  • The products though damaged, is still intact, serviceable, and capable of performing it’s intended function and is not defective.
  • Is missing components.
  • Simply changed your mind, found it cheaper elsewhere, decided you did not like the purchase or had no use for it.
  • Proof of purchase has not been provided.
  • You knew of or were made aware of the defects before you bought the Product.
  • Is found, upon inspection by us or on our behalf, to be not defective as claimed, or failure was due to irresponsible use (including but not limited to, for example, burning, melting, or breaking of the product caused by spinning tyres’; or damage caused by using the Product on hard or rocky surfaces).
  • You are not the original purchaser of the Product.

Product Assessment:

We may need to assess your product to determine whether a repair, replacement or refund is appropriate.

Certain technical products may need to be sent to the manufacturer or Mean Mother 4x4x nominated repairer for assessment, which includes but not limited to:

  • Winches
  • Compressors
  • Power Distribution Boxes
  • DC Charges

Products assessed as having a minor fault will be repaired by the manufacturer and returned to you within a reasonable time. We offer a refund or replacement if the product is assessed as having a major failure.

Refunds

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.

Fitment or Assembly of Goods:

For goods that require fitment or assembly our return policy cannot extend beyond the value of the item ordered. This is in large part because the performance of these items is dependent on correct fitment, assembly, and operation. The part must only be fitted by a suitably qualified or experienced person.

Goods should also be carefully inspected for marks, scratches, or any damage prior to installation. Warranty claims of this nature will not be accepted once fitted.

Failure to comply with manufacturer’s specifications may result in damage, injury, or death.

 

Broken or Faulty Goods:

If a product is found to be broken or faulty, please contact us as soon as you are made aware of the fault, including a detailed description of the fault or damage and images to support your claim.

Any repairs that may need to be carried out will be done so by Mean Mother 4x4 by a nominated repairer. If a repair cannot be made, then Mean Mother 4x4 will endeavour to have the item replaced or a refund will be offered.

Note: Standard warranty across most products is 12 months unless otherwise specified e.g., Mean Mother Air Compressor 5yrs, Exitrax Recovery Boards which offer a Lifetime Warranty.

Return Shipping:

If a product is deemed faulty and is required to be returned, Mean Mother 4x4 will provide a Return Authorisation Number, with return instructions. This only applies to claims made within 60 days from purchase. Any claims made outside this period will be considered a warranty claim and postage will therefore need to be incurred by ‘you’ the customer.

For any requests of return purchases, the cost of return postage will be incurred by (‘you’) the customer.

All Returns MUST BE authorised by Mean Mother 4x4 and must have a ‘Return Authorisation Number’ attached to goods prior to shipping back.

Mean Mother 4x4 will not be held liable for lost or damaged returned goods.

Your rights under Australian Consumer Law: 

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
